Barrels and Poles Clinic

Saturday April 6th, 2013 at D bar D Ranch

9:00-3:30 Barrels

4:00-5:00 Poles

From beginner barrel racers, to the seasoned competitor, there is something for everyone at this clinic. Come join Lisa Shoemaker and Andrea Rautio on our barrel/poles clinic. Come brush up on exercises for you and your horse that will help set you up for a great run. Our primary focus will be on basics of barrel racing with an emphasis on a solid foundation and horsemanship. There will be an additional short clinic for those who are interested on working on poles. There will be 15 spaces open on a first come first serve basis, so sign up quick! Cost is $50.00 per rider for the barrel clinic, $15.00 for the pole clinic, and $5.00 to audit. Each rider will get one free audit for a family member. Kicking off the day’s event’s will be a Halloween Scavenger Hunt.
Costume contest for Adults, Children,Horses and Dogs.
Trick or Treating for the kids at the campsites.
Chili Cook-Off or bring a dish to pass.
Wagon Ride (or follow on horseback if you choose)
Carved Pumpkin Contest
Music and Dancing by the Campfire

3rd Annual “D bar D Rides for a Cure” Cancer Benefit Ride September 21, 2013

LET’S DO IT AGAIN!!!
The last two years we have watched as cowboy’s and cowgirl’s saddle up to help fight for a cure for cancer. With this disease touching each and everyone of us in one way or another we ride to find cure. Join us in helping bring hope closer to home benefiting, Reed City Spectrum Health Cancer Center.
Over the last two years you have helped “D bar D Rides for a Cure” donate $27,000 and we couldn’t have done it without your help!

We are looking to make this year the biggest donation yet! Cancer isn’t stopping and neither are we.
10 Mile Trail Ride will kick off the days activities, Pig Roast Dinner to follow provided by D bar D Ranch, Live Band featuring “STOLEN HORSES”, silent auction, games and activities throughout the entire day and into the evening

Poker Ride August 17, 2013

Saddle your horses up and get your best poker face on as we round up for our Third Annual Poker Ride.

We will be riding ten miles while collecting your cards along the way.

The cards cannot be opened until you return to the clubhouse.

Extra cards will be available for purchase at check-in.

Potluck and Dancing by the fire to follow.

Competitive Trail Ride July 20, 2013

Wether you are a beginner, moderate, or an advanced rider find out what you’ve got.

We will be testing your skills as horse and rider on 10 seperate obstacles while out on the trails.

Prizes will be awarded following this event. Potluck dinner to follow around the campfire.
